Title: All New members and Others need to read....Trooper Do's and Don'ts
Post by: Quick2 on November 09, 2007, 01:30:12 PM: I would suggest that any new member of CCG or to the 501st needs to read up on the 501st .. The history... The Garrison history.... Manners... This is our hobby and we enjoy doing this for a Great cause or causes. Forum Manners... I am sure excitement comes in as it is new....Look at the rules of the Garrison... What is expected of you as a member... If there is an Event sign up in Roster so we know who is going to be there..

I have heard horror Stories of in 501st.. small as they are.. of Troopers giving the group disrespect.by their actions.. Nobody likes a "Know It All"........ Alot of our props are Fan made and some items may be a little off of the Movie .. DON'T Put down others work.... Be Encouraging.. Be Helpful.. Some folks don't have the money to get 100 % movie props.. Take pride in the Garrison and 501st and what we represent.

If you have anything you anything you want to share ..Please add to this thread.....

I myself many years ago had the pleasure of first hand accounts of a not so pleasant 501st member who was rude and not very professional at all (no one in this Garrison, and it was maybe the 1st or 2nd year the 501st had been around). because of this, i was VERY turned off from the 501st, but through the kind, helpful and friendly people of this Garrison, my views have changed and i strive to be the most helpful and friendly person i can be (unless I'm in the Fett costume - then i'm all character baby :lol: ) seriously, this group is wonderful and we ALL offer a variety of info, are not afraid to share it and i feel that makes us one of the best Garrisons out there. keep it up!

Sorry I did not realize some were not able to view so I modified it.. Just read up on the 501st and rules.. was the main point of my Post... and Don't nit pick others Armor and props.. but encourage... and admire... Peace, Allan

Seriously though one reason I was attracted to this group is the deportment I have seen and the willingness to help others... not to mention helping fund raisers in a totally awesome way!

I mean, the worst I may say is "aren't you a little short for a Storm Trooper?" or "Oh, my God, how much did it cost to get a wookie perm?" The latter I have seen from someone out of costume too...
