Here are the particulars of this event. Sounds wonderful! There planning and discussion are in the members section. Banter and making fun of Todd can happen here. Roster will be updated at this location. This event is linked to the calender.
Comments: I work with a Eugene, OR nonprofit called KindTree Productions, Autism Rocks. We are holding a funraiser mask making party Sunday Oct 21 that we would love for you to attend. Details below. Please forward to whoever can help make this happen for us.
Mask Making Party
Oct 21 Sunday 2-5pm
Cozmic Pizza, 8th and Charnelton, downtown Eugene, OR USA
We expect 20-40 people and ask for 2-3 costumed characters, whatever you can muster up.
This event includes mask making (with paint, beads, plastic do-dads, etc) and karaoke at a popular downtown pizza and wine gathering place. This event is a funraiser for "Autism Rocks", a local nonprofit for people with autism. It's set up for young people with autism and their families, though anyone can attend. Some of these folks are big Star Wars fans - kinda totally into it. I know its short notice, but would be great fun for 2 or 3 of your group. Please let me know ASAP as PSA\'s need to go out this week.

I chatted with Tim ..the contact of this event.. He will not be at Event but will have someone who will direct us..
They want us there around 1:45 PM on the 21 Oct.
We Enter with Fanfare around 2:30-3:00 PM
At 4:00 they would like us to do a Demostration maybe soemthing for the Stage that they have...
Lightsabers and Jedi's...and Stormtroopers...that sort of thing
Finish around 5:00 pm.
This Event has Small parking , and some in a Parking garage..(Pay)
Changing is being looked into...Possible downstairs behind a Sheet...in a room.
They are sending out a newsletter about our coming...
They Expect 20 to 40 people
There is room to move about the Room
You could seat 400.
I will RECON this Cosmic Pizza to give you an Eyes view...
This event was listed in a box in the Article of our Mall Appearance so so more may show up... I don't know....

Cool....... Ok ..I went today to RECON location...Here is what I will Share:
This is on the Corner of 8th and Charnelton in Downtown Eugene.
There is pay parking across the street or if you park on street..Sunday is free parking on Street.
Inside is a Big Venue with lots of Space to move around and a ramp leading up to Stage platform.. The stage is large enough to have a nice Jedi demo with Sabers and Stormtroopers and Etc.. to come up. Theuy will have a place to put our Tubs...they have regular size restrooms to change or maybe another room...
Cozmic Pizza shares this space with a Latte' Bar. and Internet Cafe, a small Bookstore. The Pizza is Organic.
the Directions are easy:
I-5 South to exit 194 B go < 0.1 mi 2.8 mi
3. Take ramp onto I-5 S go 60.0 mi 62.8 mi
4. Take exit #194B/EUGENE onto I-105 W go 3.4 mi 66.2 mi
5. Take the CITY CENTER MALL/JEFFERSON STREET/FAIRGROUNDS LEFT exit onto W 7TH AVE(OR-126 E) toward CITY CTR. - MALL go 0.3 mi 66.5 mi
6. Continue on W 7TH AVE(OR-126-BR E) go 0.3 mi 66.8 mi
7. Turn RIGHT on OLIVE ST go < 0.1 mi 66.8 mi
8. Turn RIGHT on W 8TH AVE go < 0.1 mi 66.8 mi
9. Arrive at W 8TH AVE & CHARNELTON ST, EUGENE, on the LEFT
W 8TH AVE & CHARNELTON ST, EUGENE, OR
It will be opposite from North bound I-5 on Exit

Thank you all for making this Troop awesome. We had 8 Troopers, and Jadesfire as a Spotter. We were well received by the Adults and Kids. We Trooped from 2:30 till 4:30 with Pics and Autographs. It was a great Experience and great to see CCG folks and visiting afterward. Thank you Everyone... This is why I love Trooping...I will get Pictures up .

I'd say this was a great success! We had some newly completed armors there too, so congrats to them for completing their costumes!

My son had the most wonderful time, he was absolutely thrilled - he doesn't respond much to the world around him, but he was absolutely beside himself with joy yesterday! I hope we'll catch you elsewhere soon - and so sorry he kept trying to bust in on you dressing - he couldn't stand to see you go, his love of Star Wars started prenatally!

I absolutely loved spending time with the kids yesterday! I love talking and answering questions......maybe that's why I like to have my face showing instead of inside a helmet. It's hard to talk a lot when your voice is being muffled by a bucket!!
And I promise next time, I'll bring a proper lightsaber that won't bust up halfway through a duel......

Hello From Robert, The Karaoke Guy (As I am called, from the Folks at KindTree.)
I have an Autistic Daughter, Which is why I volunteer my services for the Autism Community of Oregon, and have been for the last 4 years.
They are a "Great" bunch of people, More normal than what society thinks to be normal.
I find myself to be drawn to them. They don't judge people for who they hang out with, what they do, or even what disability one may or may not have. They love people for who they are.
No judgement, no sarcasm . Everyone is a product of life! in our eyes.
If everyone in the world would see that way, the world would be much more simple.
I seen the look in their faces and the excitement in their eyes when you all were there.
The newsletter said you all were coming, and when you all were there in person, you made a lot of kids, as well as adults(parents) Very happy that day.
I applaud you, and personally thank you.
One note: I had about 3 days notice of your arrival , I would have been more prepared with sound tracks and the like, had I'd been given more time to prepare.
No worries though , It all worked out just fine.
Again, Thank you!
If you ever need a professional sound system to provide sound effects, I would be happy to provide that for you. Just let me know.
I will get all sound effects. and soundtracks (Imperial march) as you need.
