Title: A Year...
Post by: ceric on September 20, 2007, 09:53:39 PM
A Year (well almost) has gone by since I as Han Solo 1st started Trooping with CCG. What a year it has been for me. I can't say enough of how Great it has been to meet and Troop with a great group of people and fellow SW costumers.
Events I have Trooped with CCG:
OMSI SW:WSMI Oct 11-Jan 1(a lot of special gala nights, and many weekends). I racked in almost 90 volunteer hours. Great times!
Salvation Army Bell Ringing- don't remember the date but it was fun. Showed up early, and took on the bell ringing 'til the troops arrived. My nose turned red, it was kind of chilly on the corner.
Starlight Parade- Lots of fun. Can't wait to do it again.
Trail Blazers Street Jam- Special Olympics- Fun
Doernbechers- Lots of fun making kids happy which is the best thing we do.

Being a Rebel amongst a group Imperials is so much fun. Lots of times at events was I the lone Rebel and captured many times over, no wonder Solo has a bounty on his head, lol... Thanks for the wonderful memories.  8)

Thanks to everyone for the wonderful support, good thoughts, well wishes, and donations during my son Lucas stay at Doernbechers. Without a doubt, without you guys I would have been a basket case in dealing with everything that Lucas had to go through. Trooping made it easier to releave the stress once his health condition was more stable and manageable. He is doing so good at home, he's very happy and going on like a baby should be doing. The smile on his face is priceless.  :D

Thanks again for letting the Rebel Legion troop with you guys and working together to help make kids (and a few adults) happy in seeing how we can work together and be professional in such a manner that represents everything that Lucasfilm stands for.

Looking forward to another year of Trooping with CCG even if I'm a Rebel, and when I can get General Veers completed I'll be 501st.
Still writing the script, drawing storyboards, set builds and planning on filming more of the Fanfilm I'm working on. Thanks to everyone I have filmed scenes with. The footage looks good and very useable. Especially the Skybridge Scene filmed at OMSI. Very cool stuff.

As always looking forward to the next troop.

This group would never be the same without you.  It is because of you and everyone else that this group is so special.  We are a better whole because of the part!

Eric,  kudos to YOU for enduring us through all you and your fam hav been through.  Taking the time to troop and be the best solo anyone could ask for.  Any way this group or this hobby, for that matter, has been able to help or lift spirits, which alone can be its weight in gold alone at times (believe me!) has been our pleasure, I'm sure.  Thank YOU, and look forward to seeing your Veers!

It's been our pleasure, Eric. Your strength has been a large factor in your family's stability and, as you and others have said, the abiltiy to find a place to plug into makes all the difference. I think many of us would agree. No one is ever shielded from life's challenges either..... We all are made so we need each other as support....... I've enjoyed getting to know you more as time goes by. Hope we have many more.

Glad Lucas is doing well. When it comes to our children, I know what a blessing that can be.........

Barry

Eric, buddy.... without you, I'd have no rebel scum to pick on. Well except for Allan and Karyn, but their easy marks!  :P
I'm glad that we could be a community of support for you and your family. I think it can be said that you give just as much to this community as it has to you. Just your good-natured attitude toward everything and your endurance in facing these challenges gives others in this community something to look up to. In other words, you're an inspiration, bro. We are blessed to have you among our ranks!
