Yep. It's open to everyone. Costumes do not need to be canon, as we're there to visit and cheer up the children and their families. They love it all. Just no 'pajama Stormtroopers'. 8) 8)

We have to choose one and let them know. She also says, if none will work, September is actually better because they have events happening in the summer and not so much in the fall.

Post by: FireStorm on July 07, 2007, 03:32:50 PM: August 25th has some good and bad points. We will miss out on some DST friends for that because they have a gig that day (BAD POINT). A good point is, this is the day before the next big CCG event. Robin just confirmed that we have the 26th booked at the WTC. CCG/KB and hopefully GT/AB will be putting on one heck of an event. So stay tuned for details. This means two days of trooping dedicated to DCH and I will be in town for both!!!

Only a couple have given input, so, since these dates are coming up quickly, the DCH visit is set on Aug. 25th I'll run it by Sandra to double check. That way, if folks are here for he 26th, they can make both.

Any feedback, please email me, but for now, that's the date.

WE all love Maul 8) but there are very small children that come out of their rooms to see us or we go in theirs. Maul might be to scary for them. I think Maul would be fine. Kids love Maul, I know that my son has loved him since he was old enough to love Star Wars. I don't think he would scare anymore kids then Vader or the Troopers.

The boots are 12. If you've got black leather boots that fit you for sure, then by all means, bring them...Mine may have some wiggle room, don't know.

There is a development with the Induction of the Special Trooper. The event for the 18th is canceled but it seems he may be joining us for this event and/or the Vader's Saber day. He is able to walk on his own so that is encouraging. It will hopefully work out that he can get the armor and be able to actually troop when he receives it. I think that will double the level of excitement for him!

This is a big group. No doubt some are coming up for the WTC troop, also. I know other troops are more festive-like with families, photos, games, etc. The hospital is so appreciative of us coming when we can. Most of us will never have to experience what those familes have to go through. Just our presence says things that words are not able to.....that we care about something bigger than ourselves..... That, is what the familes see......

For some reason the thumbnails for recently posted albums show as busted links, but if you click on them they will still open the album. Click on the busted icons in the album and they will show you the pics :?.

NOTE: Pics of patients and family have not been uploaded, I am going to send these to Sandy at DCH and she will handle. I have posted pics of Lucas (who is looking so good!) for those who would like to see how the little buck-a-roo is doing.

Looked good, Nick. How'd it feel? Martin said it went well. Visitied a lot of children - Excellent.

My event went ok. Crowd dispersed early, so I only did one of two musical gigs we were scheduled for, but there were many chidlren and families. I should've thought of having you guys come out after DCH! It was a perfect outdoor event for it.
