Stop by and help celebrate Dwight’s retirement on Thurs., March 8, between 2 and 4 p.m. at the 2WTC Plaza Conference Room. Refreshments will be served.""
Everyone, this is 'the man' who has given us the ok to troop the World Trade Center anytime, and gave CCG the Plaza Pro Bono for our DCH fundraiser last year.
Anyone up to crashing a party (in costume)?? so far: Robin, Bill ?, Daverian, & Kyle.
Parking & Gearing Up: On Taylor St (Taylor & Naito) is PMC Public Paid Parking entrance. (Map searching address: SW Taylor St and SW Front St)
Take a parking ticket & make your way down to the 2nd level-down an interior ramp- 'P2' posts are painted Yellow (not Orange).
We will be suiting up in the onsite gym- Fit Factory- which is located on P2, southwest corner of the level.
Bring your parking ticket with you- Do Not Leave it in your car- it will be validated upstairs. Mucho Gracias, WTC Management. :D
My cell is: 971.207.9509 :P

count me in
-
We still on for this thing? Can we get a headcount of who is planning to attend?
-
So far it looks like 2... YOU and ME. Some is better than none
-
I will certainly try, but I can offer no guarantees. My delivery schedule can be pretty hectic... even on the days when I am supposed to be "in the office".
-
Robin,
I'm going to see if I can make it to this event! I could go clone or Jedi...
-Kyle
-
Thanks, Kyle. Clone or Jedi- either one is fine. And Tav- I understand..it is you after all :P :P And I have a spotter coming.
I know this is a work day for all, and so I'm going to try and get those who come in and out in about an hour...or so. As usual-I'll have a place to park and suit up.
My work #: 503-464-8196 7am-3pm cell# 971-207-9509
Thanks again :D
-
It's on a thursday, so I am screwed. I can only make weekend gigs, when I can make it!
Sorry Robin!!
-
please check 1st post (updated) for parking & suiting up arrangements.
Sorry, too, Martin
-
Crud... I'm in a computer controls class all day on THursday and Friday.... no can do! :x
-
So are we meeting at 2pm? Or earlier so that we are suited up by 2pm?
-Kyle
-
Meet at 2pm. It only takes minutes to suit up, and minutes to get up stairs......
-
I'll be there

 Errrr....uhhhh....I still have not gotten the whole suiting up thing down so it will actually take me about 20 minutes to get dressed. Also, I may not have a way to get down there. I will do my best to secure a gunship unless someone is already going to be driving through SE Portland.
-Kyle
-
I work close by, I would be more than happy to assist as a spotter / dresser / talking head / picture taker / nuisance
-
Ancient Fan, thank you for offering your time 8) Time to gear up- though I said a few minutes we can take up to an hour, no problem.
I try and check here throughout the day, and feel free to call my work or cell # with any questions.
Thank you all again for coming today.  This will be a perfect send off for Dwight
-
That was fun, Robin - I'd love to see the photos that your daughters took. :)
-Kyle
-
That was a blast!! I hope Dwight enjoyed it. It was great to meet you Robyn! Downtown trooping is definately something I would like to do again!...Kyle..Great Clone!!! Thanks Phil for the assist!!
-
Someone open up an album and I'll get them downloaded tonight. "WTC Retirement March 8 2007".
WTC troops are usually short and sweet romps with the big kids, but a good place try out new armor and spend alittle public time.
Thank you all for coming. Pix soon
-
...but a good place try out new armor...
You can say that again! I have some bits to trim on Sunday....
-
Kyle - Wish I'd had a movie camera - Here's this menacing knot of Stormtroopers patrolling the streets of downtown Portland, citizens gawking in awe - but the one clone trooper in the pack had a unique stroll - apparently a bit "chaffed" ("ouch, ow, ouch") with his armor biting back at him.
:D :D :D

Robin,
The gallery is up for you!
(p.s. I'm waiting for some rubber t-rail material so I can finish out your E-11... soon kiddo, very soon!! )
-
Gallery will only allow 3 pix to download. :? Don't tell me 'It's me'
-
I had an awesome time down there. It was a lot of fun. I ended up having to work a little bit late, but not much. I was amazed that I got off work when I did. I totally expected to have worked a lot longer, considering how much time I took off to do this. Yeah... the company doesn't need to know that I goofed off for 2 hours! But hey, one of those hours was written off as my lunch, so it is all good!
Had fun. I hope the next guy is as accomodating to us as Dwight was. I hope we made his retirement party a little bit more special for him.
-
Dwight had a good time - pictures prove it. (still getting them downloaded :?)

So what's the deal? It only let you upload 3? Is someone fixing this? I am anxious to see to fun! and BTW, Dusty said he was posting more DCH pictures, does anybody know who do I need to talk to to be able to access the link? :?:
-
Gallery's working fine - I just tested it.
My only suggestion would be to uncheck the create thumbnails now option on the file upload page. That will make the server create the thumbnails - not your local computer.
-
Best pix have been posted :P. Total pix:354, -out of focus / feet / sidewalk = 254 useble pix, -Tie Fighter = 200
Thanks again, Ancient, Dave, Kyle, (cough) Bill (cough), Holly and Savannah.
Trooping is like fishing, Never a bad day doing it :!:
-
.... and the PILOT takes a bow.
Thankyou, thankyou, 48 hours of Bill happy to accomodate!!!
