Title: Recent transplant to Longview
Post by: Sarathe on May 30, 2025, 08:49:37 PM
Hi, my name is Sarah.
I'm thinking of coming out of retirement. Any troopers in Longview?

Hey Sarah!

I know we have at least 1 person in Longview, and many others a bit further south in Camas and Vancouver.

Thanks, everyone!
I've pulled out my armor to try on after 5 years, so we'll see how that goes.

Aside from a good cleaning, armor is in great shape and fits perfectly. My last troop was just before the pandemic hit, so it's been about 5 years.
I've ordered all new under armor, so should be good to go soon.

Anyone know how to get un-retired? ????

Awesome news! The way to get unretired is to submit approval photos to our GMLs and they can review everything. Front, back, both sides, bucket off, and action photo. They can then compare the costume against the current CML, because sometimes the CMLs change. Please reach out if you have any questions.

If you were with another garrison before you retired, we may need to transfer you to CCG, but I'll find out if we need to contact the LCOGs to do that.

Great, thanks for the information!
In that case, I think I will need to touch up some of the paint on my helmet and ab piece. Hopefully Michael's will have the paints. I might have to order them, otherwise.

I do have a Jawa, as well as my Stormtrooper. I guess I could go ahead and submit that one to get the ball rolling.

Sounds like a plan!

If anyone reading this has some paint that would work on a TK ab piece or a bucket, please let us know! Maybe we could have you two meet up at a future build day so Sarah doesn't need to spend too much money?

Wow, thanks, guys, that's incredibly generous. Mine got chucked in the move, as they were 10 years old at that point.
My husband said he found a bundled set sold by a guy in California, I'll  have to see if he ordered them.
