Greetings from the rainy coastal town of Tillamook. My name is Rebecca and I've wanted to join the 501st since high school. I decided it's about time I actually do it. I plan on pursuing a tie pilot costume. I have an order in at rs propmasters and am patiently waiting for its arrival. If any of ya'll have any tips for me so that I can make sure the kit will be approved please let me know. I look forward to meeting you all in the near future!

Welcome, Rebecca!

As a fellow owner of an RS Prop Masters Tie you're practically approved for your plastic parts. The soft parts is what you'll have to worry about.

What should I keep in mind with the soft parts? Thanks for the reply!

Welcome!!!

Welcome on board! For soft goods you can’t go wrong with Wampawear. Keep Trooping is also pretty good.

Try to avoid "I found this cheaper on Amazon." 9 times out 10 it won't meet the CRL without serious alternations. There is no such thing as approved vendors but if you review all the previously approved costumes, you'll notice which vendors are more commonly used by the ones that get approved.

That's the forum for the legion dedicated to just Tie Pilots.

It looks like rs gets their soft kit from keep trooping. Sounds like I'm probably good to go. I am so hype you guys. Thanks again for all your assistance.

Welcome. I'm Pacific City often so if you need help with the approval process(photos/submission) maybe I can help you out when the goods arrive.
