EVENT TYPE: 501/RL Formal
WHAT: Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides Walk
WHERE: Oaks Amusement Park, 7805 SE Oaks Park Way, Portland, OR 97202 in Portland
DATE: Saturday, May 18th
TIME: In Costume: 9am-10:30am
CAUSE: The Oregon/SW Washington Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
We are a local chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation that supports fundraising for vital, life-saving research as well as community support programs for those living with Cystic Fibrosis and their families/caregivers. Our annual fundraising walks bring together our entire community in an effort to help those living with CF to live their best lives in the face of chronic illness.
PARKING: Multiple parking lots on sight, parking cost of $5 for the day
CHANGING AND STORAGE: Will work to have an appropriate space available... most like will be an empty office space.
COSTUME REQUESTS: Would LOVE to anyone and everyone who's able!
BLASTER POLICY: Blaster and lightsabers are fine.
MEMBERS' CHILDREN IN COSTUME: Yes, children in costume are welcome to attend
OTHER DETAILS: Fundraising walk/gathering with people of all ages with a carnival/picnic sort of feel. Participants gather for a few hours prior to the beginning of the event, participate in a 5K walk, and then have a picnic lunch.
