EVENT TYPE: 501/RL Formal
WHAT: Star Wars Day, La Pine, OR
WHERE: La Pine Elementary: 51615 Coach Rd, La Pine, Oregon 97739
DATE: Friday, May 10th
TIME: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm - The school has 4 common areas where the different grades (K-5 grade). We would like to spend around 15 to 20 minutes in each section to give whatever students would like to interact with the troopers.
CAUSE: La Pine Elementary School- a low income, high poverty elementary school.
Marnie and I are looking to bring some Star Wars to a community that has so little.
PARKING: The school has plenty of parking.
CHANGING AND STORAGE: We have an indoor room that can be used to change.
COSTUME REQUESTS: It’s a school, so use good judgement.
PHOTOGRAPHY PERMITTED: No
BLASTER POLICY: Blaster and lightsabers are fine.
MEMBERS' CHILDREN IN COSTUME: No, please keep signups limited to adult members of Cloud City Garrison and Kashyyyk Base
OTHER DETAILS: Just celebrating Star Wars week.

Update: due to being short handed staff wise, Marnie and I couldn’t make this happen today. Marek did show up but I couldn’t offer support. He should get credit for this troop IMO if possible.
