This is for my son's robotics team, through the FIRST Robotics program. It's an amazing program where they build a robot and have to compete over the course of the season, with a chance to go to the district finals and eventually the world championships in Houston. Last year they made the district finals in Spokane but fell just a bit short of moving on. If you want to know more about the program, check out FIRST Robotics on YouTube.
Here's a video showing what FIRST Robotics is all about:

And here's a video showing the Stormbots, team 2811, from last year:

The team has a fundraising goal, and an operations budget, of $20K, so this event is a chance for community partners and corporate sponsors to come in and talk with the team, the goals, and the build. So, we will be there doing what we can to help them fundraise.
I'll be there with my biker scout and my R2. I need to get a donation bin and a backdrop, if possible, as we will be doing pics for free, but donations are accepted with all donations going to the Stormbots. Please consider coming out to help me with this amazing program for STEM kids!

Too bad I work until 7 that day, because it sounds like it would be a fun first trooping experience for me! I'm working on two other generic Jedi costumes (one a Twi'lek and the other a Mirialan) and my goal is to have them both approved in the next few months. If I spent 4 hours putting on makeup for my Aalya Secura costume for every trooping event I went to - yeah definitely not sustainable for me, haha.

Sign me up for my garindan, be a fun troop to test out the new costume and much more.
