EVENT TYPE: 501/RL Formal
WHAT: Portland Pride Parade
WHERE: The Portland Pride Parade will be held June 19, 2022, and steps off (time to be confirmed). The parade forms in the North Park Blocks (check-in times and location to be confirmed). The parade route travels through Northwest Portland and along SW Naito Parkway to end at Tom McCall Waterfront Park.
DATE: Sunday, June 19th
TIME: Check-in between 9-10am/Lined up in position for parade no later than 10:30am
PARKING: Numerous garages in the area.
CHANGING AND STORAGE: Car change
COSTUME REQUESTS: Any costumes.
PHOTOGRAPHY PERMITTED: Yes.
BLASTER POLICY: Lightsabers are ok. No blasters please.
FEES: The registration fee per person is $15. Please send payment to cjanssen7@msn.com via PayPal Friends and Family or @CJanssen via Venmo.

An update: VACCINATED/MASK REQUIRED: All marchers will have to show proof of COVID vaccinations, including booster, and masks required for event. This is the requirement from the parade facilitators.

On a side note the Crimson trooper is a TX not a TK.

It is recorded in the SWO database as however the costume is listed in the 501st db, whatever verbiage or typos our GECs use in the forum posts is just a clerical error.

Anybody have a suggestion on where we should park and meet up?
Also, is 9 am early enough to meet and get suited up? Too early?
Also, if anybody has any spare decorations, my biker scout in pretty plain and could use some help!

Our staging area is on Flanders St. Between 9th and 10th. Looks like we're right up in the northwest corner of the setup area. The nearest parking lot looks like it's at 9th and Glisan. That'd be a good spot if you arrive early enough. I have plenty of rainbow colored Washi tape to share if anybody wants it.

my husband says it’s a little risky now parking in that area so we are doing parking garage at 10th and Yamhill Smart park. Mike is going to join us so we will be walking over a few blocks to check in area.
