Title: Maxsteele's Bridge Crew WIP
Post by: maxsteele on August 31, 2016, 09:31:41 PM
Seeing Jason's work in progress kicked me into moving on my next uniform.  I've been wanting to do this one for a year now.  I'm not moving toward TIE Reserve yet, only going for ANH Bridge Crew.

Jack Boots (Goodwill) - Received
Flight Suit (Wampawear) - Received
Officer Hat - (Yesac) - Received
Belt - (BPfau) - Received

Having some difficulty with sourcing a hat.   I've had a couple of suggestions, but haven't received a reply once i contacted them.   I was hoping to have this done and approved by the end of September, but I'm not sure how long the hat will take to get.

You might talk to Casey (Yesac) im guessing he might be able to whip out a hat pretty quick.

Casey's awesome.  He's finished sewing my hat, and he's waiting for delivery of the code disk to attach it.  My hat is the one without the code disk:

Hat came in today!  Thank you Yesac for your tailoring skills!  I'll need to find a good way to fasten the code disk to it.  Yesac got me one from Elvistrooper, but the backing didn't adhere.

Opinions on the fit?

fit looks good.

my hat has an eyelet in the front, so I drilled a small hole in the code disc and JB welded a bolt onto it

comm pad?
Not needed for base Bridge Crew.   Hat,  suit, belt, and boots.

Also, level 2 certification for ANH Bridge Crew prohibits a comm pad.

Once I can get over to Jason Rall's place to pick up the comm pad and gloves, then I'll submit for TIE Reserve.  :)
