Hello!
I'm new, probably pretty obvious. My RL name is Angie and alter ego is Fenmere. My husband and I went to the meet and greet on Saturday. I've been looking at the 501st for awhile, but the costume requirements are/were bit daunting. I currently have a custom Sith costume, which is being revamped (they're never 100% finished, right?). We're looking to start out spotting while I'm working on a costume for approval. I'm trying to put together a Mother Talzin costume, so I expect it'll be challenging and take awhile.
The normal other info - we're from Milwaukie. I'm a mortgage loan processor and am the only nerdy one in my office. With that said, I have Star Wars prints in my office and will be adding a lightsaber in our companies colors relatively soon (once I rewrap the hilt). I'm a member of the Oregon chapter of the Saber Legion, so fight with a saber a few nights a week. In my down time, I knit, sew, and play WOW.
I look forward to trooping and getting to know more like minded people. Cheers!

Welcome Angie!
A Sith and WoW'er, nice! You must play Horde then?

Welcome! I understand the process can be intimidating. That delayed me for a while too. Pose questions here as there's lots of help. Sometimes the detachment forums can be a but much.
Regarding your custom Sith, do you know about New Order? They take custom Sith.

Thanks! I'll post pics when I get down to working on it. Still doing research for the costume. I didn't know about New Order, I'll have a look at them.
Oh and yeah - Horde for life! Lok'tar Ogar!

Greetings and welcome to the forum.
Putting a costume together can certainly be a challenge, no doubt about that, but it's a worthwhile one. You could always start with something more simple or one you can buy most of, like an X-wing pilot, for example, where almost everything can be bought.
