Hello CCG :) my name is Kristin, I'm 27 and a bit shy. I've seen you guys in the rose festival before and most recently at Orycon. I'm chair of M.E.W.Con so until thats over I won't be braving this new territory of costuming but anyway, I'm a big fan of the Star Wars universe and have been for a long time. Nice to meet you! -waves-
-
Hi Kristin.... that is me and a couple of my associates hosting that table. Did we talk at all, or did you just grab one of our business cards?
At any rate, we are there all weekend. Please stop by again and chat with us. Thanks for checking us out!
- Bill
-
hello and Welcome!
-
Welcome. Don't mind the mess, the maid is out. Tavrik doesn't pick up after himself and Quick2 is kind of lazy. I don't know where I am going with this so I will end it now.
Welcome!

Welcome and nice to meet you!!!!

Welcome Kristin! This is a fun group to hang out with. I hope to see you dressed up in full costume some day.
-
and if you haven't guessed by the last few posts, we're not shy around here so don't feel you have to be either, we take everyone as they are...well for the most part but you already met Bill so we don't have to explain about him...
-
Welcome! :3 We could always use more girls around here.
Hope you take up costuming and troop with us! It's a lot of fun, but only if you're a twi'lek.
-

Well, see when we invaded and occupied Cloud City, we incorporated their janitorial staff. We just give them the title of maid in order for them to have a better outlook on life while they serve us Imperials!

Welcome to the madness Darkerlight
CCG needs one of these:
Barry you provide the armor, leather, and whatnot I'll do the work. I have the paint
and bleach to fix you right up!

Welcome to the madness Darkerlight
Darklight,
Welcome. I was one of the Imperials, in the jumpsuit, at OryCon. *Looks around* *Sees no one* It's not that bad around here.

Yeah, Matt, here was the shy, quiet one who actually manned his post at the table. That Scout over there could only be seen if certain females happened to have graced the room! :P

lol.....When I come out of vader retirement, I'll have amassed enough power of the dark side that it won't matter what I look like - So, I'll call when that day arrives... :!:

D-light - Hates pink?
-
yes, hates pink... its a creepy cheery color... I much prefer purple
and hello Oomar :) I believe I saw you in the halls of OryCon.
-
Hey! I'm Naveed's wife, Beth. What part of Beaverton are you from? We are both planning to get our "armor" (costume for me) around February. I like the idea of an armor party! PM me or my husband and we can set something up! Welcome!!!

who said anything about rockband?! although I do have a Wii and a 360 that I can offer for enjoyment  Our place is small so this would have to be hosted at someone elses place.

It's like a wird unspoken rule that armor parties should be equipped with rockband.... and pasta

uh-hu....
Pasta we can do! tell me though, is this how "normal" armor party's end up? Rockband and pasta? I get Lead guitar :D
~Beth
-
Well this is how my armor parties end up :D
i dom't think I've had an armor party at my house where i did much of anything.... other thn rock out!
-
Hence the idea that in order to get something done at Paul's armor parties you basically have most of it done before you get there, and get there early before everyone starts playing rock band... finish your project then rawk out!
Jade
-
I think I am probably the only one who does NOT succumb to the temptations of Rock Band when I am at one of Paul's Rockband, err.... I mean Armor Party sessions.
Either that means I have an iron will, or I am just not into Rockband..... hmmmm.

How else could you pretend that for a few moments in your life, you truly ARE better than Gene Simmons?!
(this is beth by the way, got to remember that Jay posts here too haha)
-
I don't ever pretend to think that I could ever be better than Gene Simmons. I simply bow to his greatness.
- Bill
-
It's like a wird unspoken rule that armor parties should be equipped with rockband.... and pasta
and be at Pauls place...I bring the pasta and he has the rockband and then we try to get work done and then we just eat and rock out...except for Bill cause he's a freak (j/k Bill... )
-
I'm not a freak... I am just dedicated to my craft!
- Bill
-
Feb. sounds like a good time though I would definately be trying to do more ummm... making things... then rock band... lol to each their own but it sounds like fun :D
-
maybe by then I will have actual armor to work on O.O now there's a scary thought!
Jade
-
Maybe by then I will find clearer pictures of the royal guards' garments under the massive hide everything cloaks... and hopefully not dye everything in my wardrobe red trying to match that exceedingly bright shade.
-
Hey I know you..sort of. I'm one of the yoji's for Kumoricon (since '06) :P

Darkerlight:
For all things Royal Guard, I would recommend that you head on over to Forcepike.net. They have a website and message board. I am also on that forum and have a few friends (Ang, Darth Skellington, Luscious Talvionne) there that really know what they are talking about. They can definitely point you in the right direction. Those are the three that I would trust the most. Between them there is a lot of good information to be gleaned... and it doesn't hurt that two of the three are good friends of mine!
You can find me on that forum with the same screen name I have here.

Small world! -waves- Hi Trumby, wait... your.... I know who you are! yes... I think... your FMA Greed! right?!
For fans of anime that are also fans of the dark side I guess this is a rather short and logical step from full cosplay ;) It looks like it'll at least take the same amount of time/money/dedication to detail... Good to see or at least text a familiar face.
@Bill
Thanks :D I will head over there.
-edit- headed over there, waiting for my account to be activated.

Yep! That's me! And I definitely agree..though this is definitely going to cost more money and attention to detail than cosplay, at least for me it has. Already spent more on my Snowtrooper than 3 of my cosplays combined :P
-
But it is well worth it in the end....
- Bill

Oh definitely, I can't wait to wear it! :D
-
Yeah, completely worth it :D
@Trumby
It really depends on the cosplay and level of authenticity, hehe. ;)

-
My apologies, LuCIOUS!
Bill Nye, the science guy??? Oh, man, now would you do me wrong like that. What, do you think I am some sort of smartie or something??? Sheesh!!!
Maybe, one of these days I will make it back down to Texas. I've been there a couple of times. It is always a treat down there.
