Hi I was excited to see this group at Kidsfest on Sunday and it was suggested that I join these forums. My name is Ryan and I live in the Portland/Tanasbourne area. I'm not 100% sure on what costume I want to start with but it would have to be one of the lower cost ones but until then I would love to help out and be a spotter.

I did not partially because I was helping to run a booth but mostly because I was focused on learning more about this organization. It was a lot of fun to watch the children do that though

Welcome!  There are a few good options for costumes that don't cost too much, and lots of help here for you to get started.  Spotters are so important,  and you'll be able to be part of things while you get a costume going.

Greetings and welcome to the forum.

There are definitely a few costumes that aren't too extremely expensive. X-wing pilot costumes aren't too bad and you can buy pretty much everything already made and ready to go. Jedi can also be fairly cheap depending on the boots and lightsaber. Rebel fleet troopers are really cheap, in fact I think the most expensive part is the helmet (which would probably around around $100, if I remember right).
