Hey guys, I'm Mech. I was at Iguana last weekend as an awe-inspired fan. I have been lurking the costuming scene for a bit (1989 Batman...someday), but at the urging of cohort TD 573 am taking the plunge. Probably going to start with a soft costume (leaning Imperial Officer, although Starkiller (http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:SL_starkiller_concept)] gets me every time), before moving into plastic.

Anyway, would appreciate any pointers for someone starting out!

Hey Guys,

  I'm new around here but didnt think it was necessary to start a new post to introduce myself so I will just add to this post. The wife and I have been costplaying for about six years now and it has always been star wars outfits. over the years I have been adding to my Darth Malgus outfit but just this year I have really embraced the Malgus identity. I am currently building the chest piece and pauldrons. I have been an artist sense I was a kid and love to create my own stuff. I will only create something with the highest standards in mind. I am using worbla and have a pretty good idea of how im going to create the pieces, but I could use any advice you guys have such as different materials or things that just dont seem to work.
