Hey all, I know a lot of you volunteer your services for good causes, so I figured I would give you a heads up for this. My wife and I volunteer the 2nd Thursday of every month at the OFB sorting center in Hillsboro. If anyone is interested in joining the fun, just show up at 17:30 and sign in. It's only a 2 hour shift including cleanup.

The address is 21485 N.W. Mauzey Rd (corner of Cornelius Pass and West Union)

The next one is on Oct 7th.

Let me know if you interested in showing up and I will keep an eye out for you.

This IS a good cause. My grandmother and mother got me interested in helping local food banks awhile back. There is a huge misconception the these programs are government run, they are not. And all sorts of overqualified people grab the food, they dont. Who the heck would spend hours in line every week to get a box of free food, not of their choosing, unless they were really in need? And if you do go see for yourself, the appreciation on their faces is totally worth it. We do have food drives at several trooping events. And we have had a FANTASTIC impact here in the Keizer area ...........old tony kenobi
