Planning for CV, Aug. 12-15, 2010
« on: October 01, 2009, 02:50:54 PM »
Just wondering if there was a group going - If so I would like to start planning and getting ready before all rooms are booked - I know that there is no date or location yet for the event but if there is a group going we can be on the ball when it is announced.. :D

OMG, I almost had a heart attack when I saw your post!  I thought the announcement had been made!

I am going.  No matter where.  No matter when.  I am going!

I too thought this meant something had been announced! o.o

As long as it doesn't interfere with other things I already have planned, I am definitely going.

My <insert deity of choice>, man!  Are you trying to kill someone!  I am with them as to the misunderstanding.  I'm going, but still...

I am planning on going, too. Just waiting to hear on the release of the venue location. Hopefully, it will be somewhere that Drago and I can fly into, on the cheap. Same with the lodging.

Part of me is hoping it is Orlando. I have family in the area, so I think I would have a place to crash! But, at this point, I don't care where it is, as long as I can make it, I will be happy!

Bill, I fly for free into all three possible cities. Orlando would work better for us. My wife has a friend who is willing to put us up and if you stay with your family we are covered.

I don't think I'm going to be able to avoid flying this time, not likely Cali again or Vegas.

No, all signs point to a CV in the east.  Wouldn't it be awesome to all be on the same flight out of Portland?   8)

Good question.  I just remember how fun it was on the Denver-Indianapolis flight I took for CIII.   :D   Most of passengers were headed to the convention.   It was like the Celebration started on the plane.  The pilot even made an announcement to welcome us all (and to explain to the rest of the passengers why there was so many SW t-shirted folks on board passing around SW Poptarts, M+Ms, etc.)
