I have been lurking for some time - and have decided to jump into the fray. My name is Phil, those of you that I've had the opportunity to meet may know me as the Sithman's (or "sithyman" as Tony says - Nick C) and Roadkill Hermes (Meri) Dad. The 501st is a unique and amazing organization. The people of CCG and their dedication is all the more reason why I enjoy participating either by working with my guys on their outfits or at CCG events as a spotter, propaganda officer, just an extra hand. Eventually I really would like to work up an Imperial Officer uniform, but at present I am spending most of my energy and $ assisting Nick and Meri with their outfits
Thanks!
Phil

Yeah, I know who you are! :) At OMSI, I very much appreciated your assistance around the table with photographs, movement, etc. It allows me to concentrate on the 'kids' and not wonder "who", "where", "what", "Keep your hands off my buttons/saber/belt", etc!!!  And, you looked very professional with a sportcoat! Lending to the atmosphere that we may actually know what we're doing.
I'm glad Nick and Meri are getting into it. It's a GREAT hobby.
Thanks for the post and join in wherever you can...

Dave,
Thanks for the "welcome" :P, BTW I visited TK409's site - What a kick! That guy's amazing, anybody who hasn't read up on him check out his website and how it helped him get his job working for Epic Games trooping in unannounced as a Sandy:

Phil (and yes, you got them all right: Vicki, Meri, Nick and Nikki - you win a cookie!)
-
Hey that's my cookie!
Can't wait for Dornbechers,Whether I'm trooping or spotting I'll be there count on it!^^

HEY!! Glad to to see on the forums you LURKER!! You and your family are a real treat to have around Phil, and we would love to have you and your wife get suited up as well! You guys have come on board at a time where CCG is pretty tightly knit together (for a loosely banded bunch of volunteers) and has come a looooong way from where it was just a couple years ago... I'm glad the atmosphere is where it is now. I remember the first time Nick (aka "Sithyman") came to a trooping event during a B-day appearance at Papa's Pizza in Beaverton, he was a very well mannered "young man", and VERY enthusiastic about getting "the armor". I'm wanting to do an black officer's uniform as well, so maybe at trooping events we can all walk around like "jackbooted thugs" together!
Anyway, costumed or not CCG is all the better and richer for you support and affiliation, and you and yours are MUCHLY appreciated! (http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c291/TK4063/Emoticons%20and%20Avatars/salute.gif)

Sounds good to me! That'll help keep the "sticky fingers" away if we have any display articles ("Mam, please step away from the helmet") :D
Thanks for the welcome!
Phil
ps: Flying out of PDX this morning to Atlanta - who do I bump into? The "other" Nick (Zolotkey) as the TSA inspector for our line - too cool!!
-
Welcome Phil! I met you at OMSI, and appreciated your help as spotter!
-
He was clean of any prohibs.
It was funny I was talking to my x-ray operator at the time, about getting the x-ray op to join the 501st with biker scout armor.
