Very cool! When it comes time to order cards, some folks over at the BHG have been using this company for printing with decent results and good pricing:

http://gotprint.net/g/uploadCollectorsCard.do

The BHG guys running the card run mentioned that we're supposed to send copies of the cards to:
Steve Sansweet - LFL archives. Steve gets at least one of everything produced for the 501st.
Albin Johnson - Legion Archives. Albin asks for one signed and one unsigned for the legion archives.

If we end up doing a bunch of cards we can probably pool them together to mail out to the two guys and save some postage if folks want to save a buck or two on postage.

Keep up the great work!

Is it possible to send an email out to the Garrison to get folks to vote on a common card design? For ease of creation and for solidarity we should have just one, which is how other garrisons, detachments, and thr 501st fo it.

Here is the link to some different backgrounds and borders. She used TB-2636 for example only, and that is not him in the photo, unless by some crazy chance the random TB pic she used is him.

That's not me on the card  but I think I would look the best on the 4th card. I like that layout. Have wanted to do cards for the last couple years now so count me in if its a go.

So for Kidsfest a few weeks ago I handed out a stack of cards while kids waited in line, and had a stack of cards sitting on the table. I think a lot of those on the table sat unnoticed, anyone have cool ideas on how to hand out cards when you're not in costume?

For big conventions like Rose City it might be fun to have a bunch of different cards kids can grab, maybe get an autograph when they get a picture with that trooper?

I'd love to get some cards made.  I saw on 501st forums they are doing sign ups for new legion cards.

http://www.501st.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=89572

For about $82 you get 2300 of your cards and two complete sets of 50 cards for the series you are in.

I'd love to find a cheaper alternative.

Luke, I like your idea about giving out autographed cards and then a picture.

the "gotprint" site that Luke shared, you can get 2500 cards for 54$ plus shipping. Also, can buy as few as 100 cards.  I posted some samples of card designs somewhere up there in this thread, didnt get too many votes so it kind of got back burnered. Maybe its time to fire it back up.

We hadn't gotten much response to picking one card design. .
:). It's fun to have garrison cards, detachment cards and legion cards. :)

I am seconding your vote for #6 front, and tweeking the back a little. I want to try and put the 10 year CCG logo on the back.

Maybe we can toss up a poll in the merch section of the forums and see how that goes? I like the idea of adding something about the 10th anniversary of CCG/KB too.

Let's do the top 2 and see what folks have to say.  Would your wife be up to putting cards together for folks? I know I'm know good at that kind of thing.  Someone would need to create the card so individuals can send them for printing.

I took a look at them again and maybe we should include more options.  The only ones that don't fit are thr bamboo backgrounds as they are more specific to the scout.  You also had a few from your Maul file that would work too.  I'll try and download them and add then to the poll so we don't have to do a back and forth.
