Title: Hello from a new Thermoformer in Beaverton!
Post by: rbgerrish on February 03, 2016, 11:38:00 AM
Hi all! I've just purchased a Model C 24"x48" Bel-O-Vac machine, and look forward to testing it's capabilities. Once everything is up and running, I'd be happy to get together with some Garrison folks and test it out. This should be March sometime...

I hope to have my own armor someday, as doing ANYTHING normal in it is insanely funny to me! Plus it looks like this group does a lot of fun events, which is great.

I also 3D print a good amount, and have laser cutter access.

Thanks,
Ryan

welcome to the forum Ryan.

I have a vac table myself,  that BelOVac looks pretty sweet! The 48" length would be great, I am limited to 24"x 24". Thermoforming is pretty fun stuff.  What printer do you use? I recently bought a Geeetech Prusa I3 that I cannot seem to calibrate.

Hi Ryan!  I'm learning 3d printing. I bought one and I'm building a BB8.  Still learning though. :)

Thanks!

I use a Makerbot Replicator 2. I had a few teething issues early on, but it's a great machine now that it's sorted.

Welcome! I can imagine a lot of people are going to be interested in what you're able to create. :)

Welcome!
I'd love to get with you on a couple projects down the line since I am constantly building things that would be vastly improved at 1/4 the weight!

Thanks everyone!

Hopefully the machine will be running by the end of the month/early March.
