Armor party sounds great. nothing like some sage advise and examples. I have done a fair share of serious SCA armoring in my college days so thinking the harnessing, riveting, blah blah and such will go smoothly. Its the E11 I am freaking out about. Well maybe not so much freaking out, just perplexed on how to get one that doesnt look like i dug into the bottom of my crunch berries box to get it.
This is my E11...there are many like it, but this one is mine....

Whaaaa? I can get an E11 from a crunch berry box? - I love those!
er, em, Welcome!

hello and welcome!

Greetings and Welcome to the Darkside!

Thanks Everyone....
Working on the E11 until an armor party is mustered. Lots of fun. Barrel done, working on scope. Doopydo'ed the grip and Hengsler (sp?). Found a sweet recoil spring that is really close to the Sterling. Would like it to actually "eggplant". PVC may make that a little eek but we will see. I'll figure it out somehow.

Thank you thank you for the site reference for the blaster. Just finished it. Armor kit is here. Going to gather all the "what i needs" for that and wait for the next par-tay

I am so up for another armor party. I am so freakin' close to finishing my armor, I can taste it.
Welcome to CCG BTW!
I wore my TK Armor for my sons third birthday a few weeks ago, and was the life of the party. I just want to be done, and be part of the 501st.
I have my army drill the weekend of 10-12 Sept, but am free the rest of the month. So if we could get a armor party together, you can count me in.

Thanks to Allan and Karyn for hosting the armor party. Glad that I was able to see you all again, and to meet Terry.
Also great to see mike. I am looking forward to finally being able to troop with the rest of CCG and Kashyyyk base in the near future.

Thanks again Allan for hosting the armor party last Saturday. Your time is valuable and I appreciate that. It was great to meet everyone and see all of the gear you and other members have built over the years. The tough part will be remembering all the names. (terrible with that)
It is still amazing to me the variation in the sets, very educational to see them in person vs. forums.
I am going to continue getting things together quickly (no pun intended). Last night I finished up the holster. It came out amazingly well. I was a little intimidated stitching it by hand, but it turned out great. Going to make a couple more of them since I had to buy a bigger piece of leather than I needed. Back canister is together as well. Glad I was able to see the colors in person. Forums colors look a lot lighter.
Making the push for the Oct events so crossing my fingers I can get everything together. Having the legs and arms together Saturday got me pretty far. Looks like there will be a couple more TKs in the line really soon.
Thanks again

Status:
Legs- Trimmed so I can at least go up 2 stair steps.
Calves- Dialed in for the gorilla calves I have.
Arms- Trimmed down
Hand Guards- Done
All undergarn neck etc. - Done
Holster- Done...did 3 as a matter of principle. Fits E11 well.
Canister-done
Helmet- Fans rolling. (electronics degree put to use) have a voicebox (thank you Halloween store) will hold on that install for last.
Going to harness the legs and take a stab at arms and shoulder this weekend. Going to wait for next party (i'll bring wine) for ab torso (Shim-City). That should about do it. If we have one, the Oct stuff looks possible. Thanks Gang for the support and help.
