Lenses! I'm going to go the Snow goggle route with this. What i'm thinking is i'll build the face plate so it clips in around the goggles (so then i can use the goggles for otehr things as well) It also means i can buy different lenses (slivered) for around $25 and easily swap between the two. The silvered lenses they had were so clear to look through, you couldn't even tell there was a tint, very nice indeed.
This was a test to see how the lenses photographed, pretty happy with it, unless someone stuck the camera right in my face i should be good.

The bucket build is still a ways off, i'm waiting for my Rubies bucket to show up so i have some hands on referance to build from. Just stocking up on the materials early.
This all, of course, could fail miserably :( hopefully not
The armor is looking great dude! Have you heard of or considered getting it water wrapped for the finish? It's pretty durable and patterns show up pretty well. No, i've never heard of that process, seems to be very nice an shiny though  :D . The only problem is i'm trying to save as much money on this project as i can, plus i feel confident enough in my painting skills to achieve what i'm aiming for. But it would be nice to get it done professionally and be something durable... guess i'll be researching processes for sealing the whole deal once i'm done.
These guys mostly do paintball stuff, but you might talk to them

I'll definitely be looking into the water wrapping process some more, thanks! :)
Jade,
Yeah i'm pretty happy with those lenses, i think that style is Fire lens or something, very eye catchy... kinda like the Master Chief visor.
So is there a line? Cause I want a set when you're done. Mass production on these anyone?Oh yeh, im right behind yah!
Any good local sources for Sintra? I'll need a small 5 by 8 sheet, probably will want some extra since i will inevitably screw up the first couple tries :P

Oh wait... Luke did shoot womprats in his T-16. Perhaps there is some armament. But yeah, you'r right, he'd scratch the paint job by crashing.
The ability to blast defenseless desert creatures is insignificant next to the power of a fully functional BATTLE STATION.... err, I mean any variant of the beloved TIE FIGHTER (preferrably the TIE HUNTER)!

No way, my friend..... The Imperial TIE HUNTER!Here we go again witht the hunters  :P
Ok...... the Rebel X-Wing and A-Wings are nothing to shake sticks at!
