Chris (Luke Skywalker): Well, I guess I'll go bullseye some womp rats in my T-16.
Quagmire (C-3PO): My God! You shoot small animals for fun? That's the first indicator of a serial killer, you freak!
Chris (Luke Skywalker): There's two suns and no women. What the hell am I supposed to do?

Not a big fan of the Family Guy. And I hated that Star Wars tribute episode they did. I'll gladly pass on the crap thatthe Family Guy is....

Some people just aren't into laughing at things that are funny. It's Star Wars so I am automatically a fan. Something can be terrible but if it incorporates Star Wars then it is always a step better than without.

I haven't been able to coment on this episode yet because everytime I even think about it................. I start laughing out of control. ( I'm doing it now) this post has already taken me 10 minutes to write.
no one has even mentioned the best line yet..........Vader: ''Cant we just cover it up with some plywood or something''.
And for those of you that are offended easily , tune in for other hillarious lines like ''Don't worry Louis....Christians don't believe in gravity"
-
Of course we don't... it's God holding out toes down... duh!

hehe I think uncontrollable laughter is appropriate.

nice.....

That's what so classic about that episode. There are so many quotes from it! Greedo is right, everytime I think about it I start chuckling. Another quote for Allan "There are alternatives to fighting................Like getting the hell outta here. Just kidding, wouldn't that be funny if I was like that?"
-
come on ... LOL.. I liked the Star wars Parody .. the whole thing.. I thought it was funny... but really .. you guys thought the Old man was a good charater for Obi wan...I don't think perversion is a Funny matter, I guess that part of it turned my laughter to groan.. but to each his own.. if you like it fine.... I have known of kids hurt by Perverts like that .. and seeing the Hurt in their family was horrible. I am sorry about being a buzz kill on this thread , but I don't like Perverts in cartoon or real life. I will never allow my son to watch it because of that Old man.. If they would have LEFT that out of Family Guy Star Wars ... I would have bought it...Peace, Allan

I'm right with you on that one Allan. Although, I do have to admit the old man did fly under the radar with me... but just barely. I was disappointed, though, that they took it in that direction. The point of contention for me was the one line crack about Peter inheriting the Falcon from his brother who died of Leukemia. I found that rather distasteful since the line was delivered to invoke sarcams and twisted humor into something I don't peticularly find too funny. My brother DID die of Leukemia. And Star Wars is that tangible thing that still keeps us connected, even though he is gone.
I'm sure like you, it was a slap in the face to me...

Comedy is a tricky subject and since it is a Family Guy tribute, it is meant for those fans of both. I was deeply humored by it (but then, my humor knows no bounds and i have yet to graduminate from 3rd grade potty humor). If you dont like Family Guy, odds are you arent going to like their tribute. I was actually angered by the fact that they had to leave out some parts they showed at Celebration IV. I'm hoping that they include those missing scenes in the DVD.

I hear both you and Allan but the fact remains, like Chris said, its A FAMILY GUY star wars show and if you don't like Family Guy then you prolly wouldn't like their Star Wars show either. Sarcasim, twisted humor, perverted things and making fun of sensative things are what Family Guy is all about. Now it wasn't until the Family Guy Star Wars episode that I watched a full episode of Family Guy. Yes I have watched plenty of YouTube'd collage of Family Guy Star Wars clips but never a full show. I have watched a couple since then but they are pretty adult themed w/o the star wars refences to keep me interested. Don't know if I will watch another one until their Empire episode comes out. But that is the thing with comedy, some like it and some don't. Some is tasteful to some and not to others.
I do need your's(Bill) and Allan's addresses so I can send you this episode when it comes out on dvd for Christmas. (a joke Bill )

LOL.. Peace, Allan

Genius. :D
Overall parody wise I thought Peter did a great job playing Han and Brian as Chewbacca.
Granted there were some disturbing parts. "But I had the time of my life."

I didn't care for that Leukemia crack... pissed me off. It made my mind up for me, in regard to even wanting to own this.

-
oooooooweeeee Family Guy on BluRay Hi-Def.... just LOOK at the depth of that 2-D cartoon, would ya?!!
Yeah, the Pedophile stuff was waaaaaay wrong.... if any of you think that was even remotely funny, I tell ya what... let me take a broomstick to ya and even if you ARE into that sort of thing, you won't be laughing when its over.
-
Yikes!
Well, seeing I only have a few TV channels (yes, I do not have cable, satellite, etc.) I have not seen this episode, so I cannot comment. I saw the first one (Blue Harvest???) and thought it was funny. Maybe I should reconsider getting this second installment, though....
-
This is just the Blue ray version of the release... Same episode. ;)

-
You see, I told you I don't watch TV much! What do I know? ....I think I am getting this confused with the second installment of SW parody from Robot Chicken.
Nevermind...
"Move along, more along...."

Wow Tony! Now that is wrong! Counseling buddy, counseling!
-
I don't need no steenkin' counseling... I already know how to beat the tar out of reprobates who think making light of EVIL sexual VIOLENCE against CHILDREN is even REMOTELY funny or amusing... The way I see it, its aparent that a few members around here could use a good "counseling session" with the "tossed salad man" for a month or two in the glorious confines of a 6x8 cell, then they could reconsider their thinking on what's "subjectively" funny as they cry themselves to sleep at night...
-
We don't need the principals office in school we need Stomper!

Kind of like making a joke of threatening someone with grisly sexual violence if they don't agree with your opinion of a television show? :?

I think that if anyone here had a six year old little boy 2nd cousin get BRUTALLY raped by a daycare worker (BTW- I do) you'd see the "humor" in that particular scene (and some of the selfish attitudes here) a bit differently....
I wasn't making any threats (nor would I spend so much energy carrying out such a thing... there's faster methods... ;) ), I was equivicating a nice and vivid piture to hopefully get some people here to see past a cheap laugh in a cheesy cartoon that this is a SERIOUS issue of violence against children who can't defend themselves in those situations... and maybe that it wasn't funny.... at all. :(
I like a few of the quips in Family Guy.... I don't watch it regularly, but there are some funny things in it... like the dad in one scene suddenly stops and says, "how'd THESE geet up here?" Takes his "cleft" chin off and puts them down his pants... now THAT was funny!
-
And here I was going to ask Stomper to tell us how he really feels.... but it looks like he already did.
I'll be right over here, you know, away from all of the fireworks!
