hello all, hope Im posting this in the right area. I was invited to set up a booth at this event, I didnt even know about it till Rick brought it to my attention that I was supposed to be selling tickets for it, (his son Kyle will be competing in the No-Gi submission tournament), ANYWAYS here's the link;

I will have a Tonys Kingdom booth at the event all day and night on the floor of the Pavilion in the State Fairgrounds, (Wierd Al Concert). This is a family event throughout, however they do start selling beer after 6:30 like most sporting events. I am toying with the idea of having costumes for pictures along with the Ring Girls during the Expo, (9:30-5:30), then enjoying the fight from my booth seats, (6:30-?), while the booth stay open for sales. I am checking on comp/discount tix for whoever wants to help out, and I will make sure you dont go hungry.
Now this is NOT an official troop, and I dont have a charity set up as it is such short notice. BUT we could have a donation jar for Shriners or CMN. I am really just trying to promote my shop, and the 501st/RL to a crowd that would normally never know about us, and just have some cheap fun and fellowship. Let me know if your interested, or have any questions.

hey Rick, there is a separate fee for the expo earlier in the day. It's $5 for entry into the Expo 9:30-5:30, and $15 Gen Admis for the fights at 6:30. Anyone who helps out however gets FREE entry to both! :shock: :mrgreen: ......ol tony

WOW! I was surprised in a lot of ways over this event. We raised $95 for Shriners Childrens Hospital with a spur of the moment donation jar and no advertising! Thanks to Chewie, a slave Leia, the ring girls and my buddy Mike G. I didnt sell much stuff, but is was great promotion. With the ring girls it was definitely not always a "family" environment with the racy music and outfits, even-though the whole event was all ages. Bless you Susan for putting up with it and still having a great time. We had GREAT seats for free, and just good fun with good friends! I think I will be doing this again BIGGER!
